EPIC Homeschool Network

Academic Studies Program

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Academic Studies Program is a branch of EPIC Homeschool Network, Inc. and was formed to support parents/guardians who choose to educate their child/ren at home.  We are an association of homeschooling families who wish for our children to have diplomas recognized by the state of Georgia.

We provide core classes that would provide grades and credits for school, enrichment classes as well as clubs. If you are interested in just field trips and socialization opportunities, check out our basic membership program here

In July of 2022, we were granted accreditation through the Georgia Accreditation Commission (GAC), the premier statewide accrediting body. EPIC Homeschool Network is accredited by the Georgia Accrediting Commission as a Non-traditional Education Center under the status Accredited Annually.

Our members are free to choose from a variety of curriculum, classes, and other methods of home learning.

All families enrolled in this program are provided with quarterly one on one homeschool coaching with a dedicated homeschool advisor as well as access to the required homeschool standardized testing as well as annual report card and transcripts.

Regardless of which program you choose to do, the parent/guardian must remain the teacher of record and file a letter of intent to home school with the Georgia State Department of Education by the time of enrollment and keep a record for their file. EPIC Homeschool Network, Inc. will make academic records for each child in the classes they enroll and give it to the parent/guardian. It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to keep these records for a period of 3 years. EPIC will also request a copy of this form to aid families in recordkeeping.

Our Vision

Helping Families Homeschool with Confidence & Clarity

Our Mission

Using Bible-based, hands-on learning strategies, learners will develop the necessary skills to be effective communicators who purposefully read, write, and speak across multiple disciplines. We strive to build mathematically proficient learners prepared to meet the demands of the 21st century and apply mathematics in the real world. Learners are critical thinkers who identify problems, find solutions and analyze outcomes. They are actively engaged in the scientific process and can demonstrate critical science and engineering practices.  Finally, learners are allowed to facilitate their own learning by being able to explore their own interests.
